Avid Announces New Editing System Family

Avid has just introduced a new family of digital video editing systems. The new lineup includes “next-generation” versions of Symphony, NewsCutter and Media Composer software, as well as enhanced hardware configurations of Mojo DX and Nitris DX.

“This news represents another milestone in how Avid continues to drive ‘New Thinking,’” said Kirk Arnold, executive vice president and general manager of Avid Video. “Our customers have told us that quality, performance and value are the most important characteristics in any product or solution. We’re glad to say that this new suite of offerings reflects these priorities.”

The result of these changes is an architecture that tightly integrates Avid’s software and hardware components along with the CPU, graphics engine and PCI Express connection to produce faster and more responsive editing of high-definition video content.
