AJA Video Systems is now shipping its KiPro portable digital recorder that captures video directly from the camera into the Apple ProRes 422 codec.
AJA Ki Pro
Virtually any video and audio source can be fed into Ki Pro to record pristine 10-bit ProRes 422 media, which is then available to Final Cut Studio.
It records hours of media to a removable storage module and is small enough to mount between a camera and tripod.
It’s also ideal for on-set monitoring, providing instant access to multiple display devices simultaneously.
It has built-in FireWire800 and can convert in real time among SD and HD formats.
