AJA debuted its Kona LS capture card at IBC this year. The new SD card--slated for shipment in November--provides a video input for postproduction on the Power Mac G5 with Final Cut Pro. Features include 10-bit uncompressed SDI I/O, 12-bit video A/D and D/A converters, and genlock.
Other products showcased by the Grass Valley, Calif.-based company include the HDP HD-SDI/SDI to DVI-D and audio converter that uses a scaling engine to automatically size 4:3 or 16:9 HD or HD inputs to any DVI-D monitor.
The R10CE 1x4 SDI DA distribution amplifier and universal-monitoring D/A converter provides four equalized and reclocked SDI outputs along with four analog monitoring outputs.
The RH10UC SDI-to-HD-SDI upconverter provides broadcast-quality HD video from standard-definition sources.
The RH10DA dual-rate SD/HD 1 x 8 reclocking distribution amplifier automatically configures to 143-, 177-, 270-, 360-Mbps or 1.485-Gbps SDI inputs.
The HD10DA 1x6 HD/SD distribution amplifier also debuted at the European conference. The HD10DA is a mini reclocking amplifier.
