WTSP Installs Crispin System 2000
St. Petersburg, Fla. CBS affiliate WTSP recently installed a Crispin System 2000 to control and manage its automation and asset management base.

WTSP is using Crispin's System 2000 suite of applications to support asset management, satellite recording, media ingest, device control, traffic translation and control of four channels for on-air playback. The system installed at WTSP includes five workstations, each focused on a specific workflow task.

WTSP uses the following applications within the Crispin 2000:

• TurboBrowser, a companion application to Crispin's RapidPlayX editing and on-air playback system to search and find video clips;
• RecordScheduler, for executing consecutive daily schedules of program acquisition events;
• Dubber, for controlling multiple source devices;
• Mapper, to convert WTSP's daily Wide Orbit traffic schedule into an automated playlist, ready for on-air playback by RapidPlayX, and AssetBase, to monitor and track specific video assets through metadata, such as house numbers, ISCI, comments, durations and cue points on various video servers and videotape inventory.
