WPSD-TV Chooses Chyron Workflow for Newsroom
Chyron Corp. announced that WPSD, an NBC affiliate based in Paducah, Ky., purchased a Chyron HyperX graphics platform, CAMIO news management system and iSQ remote monitoring and playout application.

“The iSQ playout system was a strong factor in our decision to purchase Chyron,” said Mark Hall, WPSD operations director. “This is due to the simplicity of playlist operation and the tight integration with our ENPS news system and the HyperX equipment.”

WPSD, part of the Paxton Media Group, will be using the HyperX running Chyron’s Lyric PRO software for its daily news broadcasts. Lyric PRO integrates Chyron’s interFuse technology to improve the station’s connectivity and expandability. Using Chyron’s CAMIO news graphics management solution, WPSD journalists can create templated text, images and video graphics on the Newsroom Client while writing their scripts, allowing the news team complete control over the graphics.
