Volicon Teams With Front Porch Digital
Volicon has formed a partnership for deep media storage with Front Porch Digital, a provider of archive management for broadcasters. The system offers an optional interface from the Volicon Observer into Front Porch's DIVArchive, allowing greater storage capacity on two levels.

"The partnership with Front Porch Digital is an important strategic relationship for Volicon," said Volicon CTO Gary Learner. "Our products truly complement one another, and more importantly, they provide the end user with easily accessible, truly long-term storage capacity."

Volicon has developed a software interface for the Observer that integrates with Front Porch Digital's DIVArchive system, allowing users to create virtually endless media storage capability for up to 15-plus years, according to the company. After a certain number of years, the content on the Observer will automatically be sent into deep storage via the DIVArchive interface. If needed, that content can be accessed within minutes.

"The Volicon Observer system has quickly become recognized as the best compliance logging solution on the market, and integration of the product with DIVArchive brings even more product advantages to both products," said Front Porch Digital President Mike Knaisch. "Some of our largest customers have already purchased or expressed interested in our joint solution with Volicon. We believe our partnership greatly enhances the competitive capabilities of both companies."
