Vizrt Streamlines Graphics for Middle East Broadcasting
Middle East Broadcasting (MBC) has installed a
Vizrt graphics system to streamline its newsroom workflow.
MBC--a satellite network that serves more than 130 million Arabic speakers worldwide--has expanded rapidly in the past few years. It operates three channels, MC1, an entertainment channel, MC2, a film channel and a third channel for children's programming.
The broadcaster is using VizContent Pilot content management software, VizTicker a 3D system that produces the crawl on Al Arabiya and also VizContent Pilot server, a centralized database for template-based graphics.
Additionally, MBC--located in Dubai Media City--uses Avid iNEWS and Harris to automate the templates that need to be prepped for on-air use.
MBC is also using VizDatapool, which receives messages from Reuters and passed to the VizEngine for live updates for stock market changes throughout the day.
