Vizrt Integrates with Omneon Spectrum
Broadcast graphics provider Vizrt will be integrating its product line with the Omneon Spectrum media server system.

The combined result will integrate graphicswith live video from when the content is captured, through to storage and playout. The Vizrt Viz/Engine 3D will renderer will be used for video playout.

Using the Omneon software development kit, Vizrt developed a media sequencer plug-in from the Omneon Spectrum video server and storage infrastructure.

Viz|Content Pilot--content management and control software--and Viz|Trio character generator system are integrated with the Omneon server system, with Viz|Weather and Viz|Ticker to follow.

"Video content is the fuel for all graphics creation. We're using video directly in our graphics system, particularly for real-time compositing and real-time editing," said Petter Ole Jakobsen, VP of Global Accounts/CTO for Vizrt.
