TVW Replaces Analog Delivery with SFA's PowerVU
A new Scientific-Atlanta Power Vu digital content distribution system, designed and installed by Atlantic Telecommunications Services Corp. (TVW), is delivering live and taped government programming to over 130 cable communities across the state of Washington.

The PowerVu replaced a less effective analog system that used both microwave and fiber interconnects that left "significant holes in coverage and accessibility to the programming," according to Frank Cavallo, president, Atlantic Telecommunications. Cavallo estimates that the upgrade saves TVW approximately $10,000 per month, improves signal quality and reliability, and provides service to areas within the state with no fiber interconnectivity.
