TNT HD Automates With Pro-Bel
TNT in HD--the first HD channel for Turner Broadcasting--is deploying Pro-Bel automation technology for ingest and on-air playout.

Turner also used Pro-Bel automation in its test facility and training area, adding up to 45 automation-controlled program paths.

TNT in HD will also broadcast the 2004-05 NBA season. Coverage will be captured in native HD with 10 cameras at the game and five will be used for studio programs. Two shows will be transmitted, one in 4:3 SD and the other in 16:9 HD--broadcast in 1080i native HD using Dolby Digital 5.1.

The first game to kick off the season in HD is Nov. 2 featuring the Houston Rockets vs. the Detroit Pistons.
