South Dakota PBS Adds Media 100 Editing System
South Dakota Public Broadcasting has installed a Media 100 Inc. 844/X, an editing system designed for fast compositing on any number of layers.

SDPB is responsible for providing programming to nine television stations. The group is using 844/X to improve the creation of opens, promotions and network image spots for shows ranging from public affairs programs and documentaries to annual pledge drives.

The workflow of the 844/X combines editing with fast compositing and 10-bit image processing. Changes or fixes can be made, with results available immediately. It can also add support for HDTV.
