Snell & Wilcox Collaborates With HP in Media Asset Workflow
Snell & Wilcox recently announced that it is partnering with HP to produce a system for storage, processing, management and distribution of digital media assets.

Snell & Wilcox hardware and software tools will be used in conjunction with HP's Digital Media Platform to create a system for content mastering, encoding, conversion, repurposing and distribution of digital media.

"The combination of HP and Snell & Wilcox technologies creates tremendous opportunities for both companies within digital media markets and provides users with exciting possibilities for leveraging their media assets in order to generate new revenue streams," said Joe Zaller, vice president of marketing at Snell & Wilcox.

The first rollout of the new system will be at Ascent Media Group's facility in Los Angeles, where it will be used to transfer clients' tape-based archives to digital formats.
