Sinclair's News Central to Use Grass Valley Gear
Sinclair Broadcast Group has signed a multi-million dollar deal for Grass Valley digital products to use in its "News Central" facilities.

The order includes Grass Valley Zodiak digital switchers, Concerto multi-format routers, Gecko modular products and LDK 1707 digital cameras, which the company plans to standardize for all its stations.

The gear is being installed in Sinclair stations WBFF, Baltimore, WLFL, Raleigh, NC, WUHF, Rochester, NY and KOKH, Oklahoma City, Ok. Sinclair has also ordered GV equipment for five additional stations.

Sinclair launched its Hunt Valley, MD-based "News Central" facility in 2002. The facility creates and feeds domestic and international news segments, and pre-packaged custom graphics to many of the group's local stations.
