Radyne ComStream Awarded Alabama Public TV $1M Contract
Radyne ComStream's Amer Division has been tapped by Alabama Public TV to provide a digital satellite distribution system for statewide satellite transmission of HDTV and SDTV PBS programming.

Radyne's Tiernan Video subsidiary will provide the SDTV encoders and both HDTV and SDTC decoders. Video signals will be distributed via satellite using Radyne's satellite modulators and converters.

"This order is representative of the increasing demand for HDTV digital broadcast equipment that Radyne is fulfilling," said Brian Duggan, COO of the Phoenix-based company.
