OmniBus Expands Asia-Pacific Presence
OmniBus Systems has announced an expansion of its operations in the Asia-Pacific region with the appointment of Fintan McKiernan as regional sales manager, and the opening of a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

McKiernan joins OmniBus from IPTV specialist Digisoft, where he was head of business development. At OmniBus, he will oversee the establishment of the Kuala Lumpur base and the further development of the company's network of resellers in the region.

"Our immediate focus is to increase our presence in China, Indochina, the Philippines and Japan, to build on our established installed base of customers throughout the region," said McKiernan. "There is strong interest here in the innovative and industry-leading products OmniBus offers for both conventional broadcasting and for mobile TV and IPTV businesses, and we expect to see some adventurous projects coming to fruition in the near future."

"Fintan is a valuable addition to our team, with a great deal of experience in the IPTV field — a dynamic sector of the industry in the region," said Laurie Mascott, executive vice president, EMEA/APAC, OmniBus Systems. "The establishment of the office in Kuala Lumpur expands and consolidates our existing support network and offers a platform for further growth in the Asia-Pacific market."
