Omneon Marks First Installation in China
Omneon Video Networks has installed its Spectrum media server at Ningbo TV in China.

The broadcaster's system includes 300 hours of storage and two channels, one to play out Ningbo TV's new children's channel and the second for future expansion. Ningbo TV broadcasts 100 hours of programming per day on five channels--news, economy and life, city culture, movies and children's. Founder automation software will control the material that is ingested from VTRs to the Omneon server and then played out to air.

Ningbo TV includes the city of Ningbo and 11 surrounding cities with a population of approximately 10 million.
