Oklahoma City's KWTV Deploys Telestream MAPreview
Griffin Communication's KWTV in Oklahoma City recently installed Telestream's MAPreview digital video capture and logging product as part of a station initiative to replace tape-based archives with a file-based digital archive system.

Before the conversion to MAPreview, the station had been recording all of its aired programs onto VHS tapes and all of its newscasts onto Beta media. Now KWTV is capturing and archiving all station content in Windows Media 9 format onto MAP media capture servers.

"The Telestream solution definitely makes us more efficient," said Randy Cassimus, KWTV operations director. "This is a news director's dream. With MAPreview we can pull up our newscasts alongside our competitors and watch all three shows simultaneously."
