NMT Taps AJA for Signal Processing Gear
National Mobile Television recently bought over 300 RH10MD HD Downconverter/Re-clocking Distribution Amplifiers from AJA Video Systems for use in HD4, its new HD mobile unit, which films for ESPN and ABC Sports.

The RH10MD, a plug-in board for the AJA model FR1 or FR2 rack mount chassis, accepts either an HD-SDI or SDI input and has four DA outputs and four monitoring outputs. The DA outputs are four equalized and reclocked versions of the input. The four monitoring outputs are SD-only outputs that can be individually "jumpered" between SDI and analog. When configured for analog, the format can be selected via dipswitch between component and composite. Four channels of embedded audio are passed through to the output.
