Liberty To Install Linear Acoustic Octimax
Linear Acoustic is providing 16 of its Octimax 5.1 digital TV audio processors to Liberty stations nationwide.

The Octimax 5.1 combines multichannel, multiband dynamic processing with audio metadata functionality and local audio insertion capability. The company's auto voiceover feature enables straightforward insertion of voiceover audio while an UpMax 5.1 channel surround sound field synthesizer produces 5.1 channel audio from a standard two-channel mix full control of center width and surround depth.

"The voiceover mode is very useful," said Steve Smith, vice president of engineering/technology for the Lancaster, Pa.-based company. "No other device we investigated offers such an easy-to-implement solutions," he said.
