Korean Broadcasters Opt for Sennheiser Mics in World Cup Coverage
The three main Korean broadcasting companies at the 2002 World Cup will be using Sennheiser wired/wireless microphones to report on the soccer matches live from 11 stadiums across the country.
The Korean Broadcasting System, Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation and Seoul Broadcasting System have collectively invested in more than 200 channels of Sennheiser wireless microphones and more than 400 shotgun microphones. The broadcasters will also share resources by stationing three or four OB vans with Sennheiser equipment at each stadium. MBC, the official World Cup broadcaster, will use Sennheiser 3000 Series systems for the opening show.
Sennheiser's Korean distributor, Koil Corp., will provide technical support to the host broadcasters and Sennheiser customers amongst the European, American and Asian broadcasters that will also be attending.
