Chyron Provides Hallmark Channel With Routing Switchers
Chyron Corp. will provide two Eclipse routing switchers for Crown Media International's Hallmark Channel worldwide playback and origination center in Denver.

An Eclipse can switch 625 and 525 in the same router frame, and it packs a 256 x 128 dual-output router in 22 rack units. An official at Crown said the Eclipse was chosen because it can switch 32 channels live to air. Crown also sited the switcher's 24 x 7 fail-safe network switching and multistandard capability.

The Eclipse family recently integrated expansion amplifiers and combiner switches into the input and output frames. This makes the system expandable to 1024 x 1024.
