CBS O&Os Purchase Sony's Switcher
The majority of CBS Television's 16 O&Os have selected the Sony MVS-8000A production switcher for news operations and on-air production.

The switcher offers many digital video effects capabilities, large storage capacities for snapshots and the ability to recall settings on-the-fly. Also, the switcher handles complex graphics that are used more and more in newscasts.

The multi-format switcher helps to provide a smooth transition from SD to HD operations, according to Sony.

Implementation of the switchers includes five years of Sony's SupportNET PlatinumPLUS service program, which includes on-site support; parts, labor and travel expenses; priority on-site response; 24-hour parts availability and more.
