AP Selects Leitch Nexio Server
The Associated Press has tapped Leitch for its Nexio NewsNet server system to distribute stories over the wire to print, radio and TV networks.

Nexio is a modular server system for transmission and news environments, featuring integrated platforms for editing, browsing and media management. The Nexio NewsFlash NLE is part of the Nexio server system that offers 500 hours of storage. The systems support multiple compression formats in both standard and high definition, third-party file formats and ASI interface.

"Leitch's Nexio NewsNet system provides an easy growth path, both in terms of storage and in adding new services," said Steve Kuhn, director of broadcast engineering, Associated Press's broadcast division, based in Washington, D.C.
