AMV Adds to Fujinon Lens Line
All Mobile Video recently purchased a second Fujinon Hac15x7.3B-10 Cine-Style zoom lens, along with a HaeE1414-1 Series 1.4X extender for its rental department.

The New York-based mobile production company said the lens was finding increasing demand in the independent film community since its original purchase more than a year ago. Since purchasing the Fujinon lenses, they have been used in 20 independent feature and short films.

"Everyone we show the lens to it is really enthusiastic about using it," said Tom D'Angelo, director of rental services at All Mobile Video. "They appreciate the constant T2 throughout the zoom range, minimized 'breathing,' and compact, light-weight design. Some cinematographers who'd never worked with the Fujinon Cine Style lens before likened it to high-end 35mm film zoom lenses. I took that as an endorsement and a confirmation that we made the right purchase."

The Fujinon Cine-Style zoom lens offers a 15X zoom ratio and 7.3-110mm focal length. It weighs less than six pounds with dimensions of 110x287.3mm, which works well with the 2/3-inch HD cameras. The new HAeE14-1 extender provides additional focal length with little loss of light.

Eleven FCC Scenarios for The 600 MHz Band Plan
I suspect that the estimated $44 billion of auction proceeds do not take into account the fact that some spectrum the FCC will buy cannot be resold because it must be used as guard intervals in the 600 MHz band plan.~ Charles W. Rhodes
