Al Jazeera Taps Vizrt for Graphics
English-language news channel Al Jazeera International has selected Vizrt for its template graphics.

The high-definition Vizrt package will be will be used in its Doha, Qatar headquarters as well as facilities in London, Kuala Lumpur and Washington. D.C. The deal will be completed during the third and fourth quarter for 2005. The Octopus newsroom system will provide access to breaking news graphics, maps and template graphics.

"We can generate a large volume of consistently high quality graphics to enhance our constantly changing news agenda and still allow our talented designers to create genuinely original animations," said Nigel Parsons, managing director for the news channel.
