Accord Video Taps Snell & Wilcox for Standards Conversion
Miami-based Accord Video recently installed a 12-bit Alchemist Platinum motion-compensated standards converter from Snell & Wilcox. The addition to the facility was made to offer customer high-end standards conversion across all formats.

Alchemist Platinum is the latest edition of the Alchemist Ph.C, first introduced in 1993. Platinum offers 12-bit processing, improved resolution and improved picture fidelity.

Accord said that Alchemist Platinum will raise the company's profile in standards conversion and allow its clients to do everything required for the job in one place. Accord cited Alchemist's smooth conversions that do not require editing to fixed frames, and the resulting time and cost savings, as factors in the purchase.
