News-Press and Gazette Broadcasting has purchased Avid digital broadcast systems for three stations.

The St. Joseph, Mo.-based nine station group has installed an Avid Unity LANshare for News for KTVZ in Bend, Ore., KVIA in El Paso, Texas and KESQ in Palm Desert, Calif. The stations will also use Avid's NewsCutter XP with Mojo and Avid AirSpeed servers. The broadcasters plan to use the new workflows to produce English and Spanish programming for three other stations in Palm Springs, Calif., KDFX, KUNA and KCWB.
