Pilat Media's IBMS enables media organizations to schedule and manage content assets throughout the broadcast lifecycle — from acquisition and transmission through sales, reconciliation, and billing. IBMS Version 6.2 includes the IBMS:Adapt basic customization layer which allows non-programmers to easily extend the IBMS data model by manipulating screen layouts, creating custom navigation, and interacting with workflows. There are also two optional add-on modules which grant advanced access to developer-level features such as the ability to introduce custom fields and user interface exit code, as well as the ability to interact with IBMS or external services through PL/SQL or Web-service calls from the workflow engine.
IBMS:Adapt replaces IBMS's legacy workflow functionality with a new Workflow Engine and Workflow Management Console, offering system administrators even greater extensibility and flexibility in designing custom workflows, user interfaces, and reports that mirror actual work processes. The system's user-friendly Graphical Workflow Designer makes it easy to define multistep workflows triggered by user actions within IBMS.
