DIVArchive System Will Be Demonstrated at Videodata‘s Stand at the SET 2007/ Broadcast & Cable Exhibition

LOUISVILLE, Colo. -- Aug. 15, 2007 -- Front Porch Digital, the global leader in content storage management (CSM), announced today that São Paulo-based broadcast specialist Videodata has been appointed as a reseller for the DIVA product range in Brazil. Videodata and Front Porch Digital staff will demonstrate a full CSM solution with DIVArchive and DIVAdirector at the SET 2007/Broadcast & Cable show in São Paulo, starting Aug. 22.

“Videodata is excited to be adding the industry-leading content storage management system to its roster of broadcast products,” said Cicero Assis, general manager of Videodata. “DIVAdirector, DIVArchive, and DIVAnet add up to an advanced solution that far outweighs the competition in features, scalability, and robust effectiveness, and they provide the best foundation for broadcasters to maximize value from their content. Videodata has recently installed the first CSM system in Latin America, and now with the Brazilian government‘s requirements for digital television, broadcasters in the region are looking for the most efficient way of managing data within a digital workflow.”

“We are delighted to appoint a reseller with such a great track record in broadcast applications as Videodata,” said Glen Green, vice president of sales, Latin America, for Front Porch Digital. “Brazil and Latin America as a whole are an important market for us, and we have seen some very significant sales recently. This appointment marks the growing momentum for Front Porch Digital in the region and signals our commitment to providing an unrivaled service to our Latin American customers.”

DIVArchive has become the CSM application preferred by the world‘s leading media companies. DIVArchive allows content owners to create a unified content storage system of near-line disk and data tape libraries, managing content throughout the entire lifecycle: from ingest to long-term preservation. DIVArchive provides tight workflow integration through proven interfaces with all of the leading broadcast automation and media asset management (MAM) systems. With optional components such as the DIVAdirector content management system, users can search and view content from any desktop and automatically transcode different formats to provide interoperability between file-based production systems.

Front Porch Digital will exhibit with Videodata at the SET 2007/Broadcast & Cable show. The two companies will be in stand number 6 in a VIP area, just in front of the main entrance.
