NEW YORK — Dec. 2, 2008 — SNG Broadcast Services Taps Genesis Networks to Give Broadcasters Global Delivery of Live News Feeds From London SNG Broadcast Services, a U.K.-based satellite uplink and broadcasting production company, has chosen Genesis Networks to provide global connectivity for customers of SNG's live transmission services from London. Via the SNG service, Genesis Networks' fiber-satellite infrastructure enables international broadcasters to transmit live news feeds from well-known London landmarks to their newsrooms anywhere in the world.

SNG Broadcast Services is offering live broadcasting capabilities from numerous iconic locations around London, including the U.K. Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and Leicester Square. In addition, SNG offers live mobile camera capabilities via a COFDM wireless link, which enables signals to be delivered from any major location from within central London. Each location is connected to a central hub from which the video and audio signals are handed off to the Genesis Networks' point of presence in London for delivery to media hubs throughout the world. Through the Genesis service, broadcasters will have connectivity to SNG's fixed-earth station services, which provide uplink, downlink, turnaround, and playout/record services. Also, broadcasters with on-location satellite uplink trucks will be able to access mobile uplink signals via Genesis from the SNG hub.

"Thanks to Genesis Networks, our clients from outside the U.K. are now able to get live news feeds out of London, or elsewhere within satellite/uplink range, and deliver them with high reliability and quality to any location on the globe," said Francis Lovell, operations manager, SNG Broadcast Services. "Genesis was the ideal provider for this solution because of its comprehensive coverage both in the U.K. and overseas."

"SNG Broadcast Services is an excellent example of our alignment with forward-thinking production houses in major news centers, which offers broadcasters significant advantages," said Paul Dujardin, president and CEO, Genesis Networks. "Through the combination of our global coverage and SNG's superb operational facilities, broadcasters can bring the news to their viewers quickly and reliably, and at a significant cost savings over deploying a satellite truck."
