Iroquois, ON, Canada – August 22, 2008 – Ross Video announces the release of the MDK-111ALite - a high quality HD/SD SDI Mixer / Keyer with A/B background inputs for additional background mixing.

“Designed to meet the demanding needs of today’s HD/SD keying applications, we are proud to release the MDK-111ALite,” said Eric Goodmurphy, Marketing Product Manager, RossGear. “Used as an excellent solution for keying external devices such as character generators, graphic systems, and EAS devices into a program stream, the MDK-111ALite is a great addition to the expanding openGear line.”

openGear is based on an open-architecture, 2RU modular frame. A wide variety of openGear cards are available from terminal equipment vendors supporting the openGear platform allowing facilities freedom and flexibility to choose the best technology for their particular application. The openGear module offering from Ross includes a wide selection of audio and video products for distribution, analog conversion, Up/Down/Cross format conversion, switching, and synchronization as well as a suite of solutions from the 8000 series available

with the openGear adapter.
