towsonawards.jpg Renegade’s “Discover Yourself” Campaign Wins Merit Awards and Contributes to University’s Gold Award in Total Recruitment Package Category

HUNT VALLEY, Md. – Renegade, an advertising agency, studio and content creator with in-house production facilities, announced today they helped earn Towson University three Higher Education Marketing Report Awards for the Discover Yourself campaign which was designed to boost enrollment for the School.

Towson University received two Merit Awards in the categories of “Video/CD Rom Viewbook” and “New Media” from the Higher Education Marketing Report’s 24th Annual Admission Awards, which received over 2,000 entries this year. The success of the Discover Yourself campaign contributed to Towson’s “Gold Award” for Total Recruitment package.

Discover Yourself launched in 2008 for Towson University and includes a video and an interactive micro site ( created by Renegade that specifically targets to the 15 -18 year-old demographic.

“We are thrilled and very proud that our hard work on behalf of Towson University and the Discover Yourself campaign was recognized by such a distinguished organization in the Higher Education Marketing Report,” said Renegade President Tim Watkins. “It was a pleasure working with Towson and it was great to see that the micro site and video we created for the campaign accomplished the goal of increasing applications.”

The Higher Education Marketing Report Awards (formally known as the Admissions Marketing Report Awards) is the largest competition in the United States for education advertising awards.
