McAdams On: Protecting TV Consumers
The antenna problem may not be all that big a deal.
A couple days ago, my wife got sufficiently ticked off at Dish to cancel the service. Just for grins, I found a scrap of wire, I think from one of those paper tape ties used to bundle vegetables. I stuck one end into the center of an "F" barrel, and looped the other end around to the shell, making a loop about 5" in diameter.
With that for an antenna, I set the Sony Bravia to search. To my amazement, it found no less than 75 -- right, seventy-five -- digital channels. More amazing still, it also found two analog NTSC channels, DX-ing over 145 miles from Mexico.
See the good things that happen when you eat your vegetables? ;-)
