It may be the greatest display of
political unity ever: Candidates McCain and Obama will help "60 Minutes" enter
the high-definition era Sept. 21.
CBS will make the HD upgrade on America's
most-watched news program on a 40th anniversary special. On Sept. 24, 1968, "60
Minutes" debuted with presidential candidates Richard Nixon and Hubert
Humphrey.
The episode, Sunday at 7 p.m. ET/PT, will
be devoted entirely to interviews with McCain and Obama.
CBS says the HD program will be in "a multi-channel digital format."
