WRAL-TV goes mobile with WRAL Wireless

WRAL-TV, in Raleigh-Durham, NC, is one of the nation’s first local television stations to offer video services on its mobile news and information application.

The new video capability from WRAL Wireless enables Sprint PCS phone subscribers to view custom newscasts and weathercasts throughout the day. They can also view top news stories, sports and other video segments.

The WRAL Wireless mobile application was designed by WRAL-TV with assistance from News Over Wireless, a division of Capitol Broadcasting Company’s New Media Group. WRAL Wireless is a subscription service designed for use on most Sprint Vision-enabled devices and Verizon Wireless Mobile Web 2.0 phones. The new video capability is supported on Sprint multimedia phones.
