TXT Polymedia announces VOD system for mobile media

TXT Polymedia will showcase at IBC2007 a new video-on-demand (VOD) solution enabling users to download DRM-protected TV series and movies to mobile devices and IPTV applications.

The new solution, currently dubbed Video on Demand, is built upon the company’s TXT Polymedia Content and Media Asset Management Suite. Currently offered as a turnkey standalone Web application in ASP, users can extend it to access the multichannel capabilities of the entire suite, adding mobile, IPTV or digital terrestrial TV publication channels, or integrating other TXT Polymedia applications. It supports Windows Media DRM10, OMA 1.0/2 and Helix technologies, with content distribution being provided in both live and on-demand formats.
