Archer Entertainment Media Communications has opened offices in Beijing, China, in preparation for the launch of China's IPTV channels exclusively for the Chinese in and out of the country.

Infotec acquires Azatel
Infotec Business Systems has acquired broadband company Azatel in a move giving Infotec a new entre into the video market. The deal, expected to become final by the end of the month, enables voice (VoIP), video or both to be sold into each company’s customer base, allowing Infotec to become a ‘turnkey’ solution in a strategic market.

Horizon Chillicothe expands IPTV service with TANDBERG Television Horizon Chillicothe Telephone, an Ohio communications company, has selected the TANDBERG iPlex video headend for a major expansion of the channel line-up for its TV-over-VDSL ATM network.
Horizon will expand its integrated voice, Internet and digital television service by adding more than 45 new video channels in both high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD), for delivery to its video subscribers in Ohio.

Auroras Entertainment approves Tilgin set-top box
IPTV service provider Auroras Entertainment has certified the Tilgin Mood 300 IP set-top vox for use within the Auroras IPTV solution. The Mood 300 has been successfully tested in Auroras’ Kalispell, MT, lab and in the company’s field trials.
