Link3 Technologies introduces IvuTV Catalyst

Link3 Technovations has unveiled the IvuTV-Catalyst software solution that enables traditional TV viewers to access interactive, on-demand Internet content and Web applications directly on their digital televisions.

Link3's software-based solution combined with Texas Instruments’ DaVinci technology allows set-top box and TV manufacturers to offer Internet TV (iTV) features with their products.

The IvuTV-Catalyst assures comprehensive implementation and ongoing services, leverages existing software components, and maintains a stable platform that can be adapted to future applications.

The IvuTV-Catalyst acts as an iTV add-on module, providing an Internet channel to existing DTV or STB products. The Link3 solution offers an optimized Flash video player capable of supporting various legacy video formats as well as the H.264 video standard.
