Italian IPTV service provider protects content with NDS Videoguard

NDS has supplied Telecom Italia’s recently launched IPTV service with NDS VideoGuard conditional access (CA) and DRM technology, which provides content protection for both broadcast TV and video-on-demand (VOD).

VideoGuard is an advanced suite of CA and digital rights management solutions that protect operator-branded services and content delivered over any platform to any device. This includes delivery to set-top boxes, PCs, mobile phones, portable media players and even removable media.

NDS is a subsidiary of News Corp. and supplies open end-to-end digital technology and services to digital pay-television platform operators and content providers.
