IPTV sparking deployment of IP service assurance technology, says report

IPTV is emerging as the killer application that is sparking network operator deployments of IP service assurance technology and products worldwide, according to the latest report from Light Reading Insider.

“IP Service Assurance: Proof Positive for Telco Services” explores the IP service assurance market, providing an in-depth examination of why the market is gaining strength, how IP service assurance programs are being developed and deployed, and what costs are associated with IP service assurance. The report assesses market drivers, including likely geographic expansion and vertical markets, and also delivers a comparative analysis of leading suppliers in the IP service assurance sector.

Two key factors are driving telecom network operators to investigate IP service assurance - service scaling and the addition of more IP applications to their networks, said Denise Culver, research analyst for Light Reading Insider and author of the report.
