Alpha Networks shows IP-STB at CeBIT

Alpha Networks featured its next-generation IP-STB, a software customizable platform, at CeBIT last week in Hannover, Germany.

The IP-STB is tailored to enable telcos and other providers to deliver multiple entertainment services and HD content. Leveraging partnerships with IPTV technology providers, Alpha’s IP-STB is preintegrated with a selection of middleware, CA and DRM systems, VOD servers and embedded browsers that offer flexibility for custom designs.

By using a dual-core SoC hardware platform, Alpha’s IP-STB supports high-performance 64-bit DDRII memory and extensive video/audio decoding capability, including HD/SD H.264/AVC, HD/SD AVS, VC-1, HD/SD MPEG-2, DivX3/4/5/6, AAC, Dolby, MP3, WMA and more.
