Verizon to offer FiOS in three more Massachusetts communities

Verizon introduced FiOS TV last week to consumers in Belmont, Boxborough and Boxford, MA, making its fiber-optic alternative to cable television available to some 14,600 households.

Belmont, Boxborough and Boxford are among 15 Massachusetts communities where the company's new fiber-optic television service is being offered. FiOS TV is also available in Burlington, Hamilton, Ipswich, Lynnfield, North Reading, Reading, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Wakefield, Wenham, Winchester and Woburn.

The company is currently negotiating with more than 50 other communities in Massachusetts to obtain additional franchises.
