Turner goes HD with Quartz QMC-HD

Quartz Electronics, an international manufacturer of routing and master control products, announced that Turner Entertainment Networks placed an order for two Quartz QMC-HD master control switchers. The QMC-HD, part of the QMC range, allows for the handling of uncompressed HD signals, as well as supporting multiple levels of key and eight channels of audio with full internal shuffling. Other features include an internal logo store and dual voiceovers.

Control will be from Turner's automation system with QMC-FS control panels for manual operation.

Turner will utilize the switchers for its upcoming HD Channel, slated to launch in spring 2004. The channel is Turner’s first HD offering.
