NDS opens set-top box testing lab in Seoul, Korea

NDS Group is opening a set-top box (STB) testing and integration laboratory in Seoul, Korea.

The News Corporation's lab will support NDS’s agreements with many Korean set-top box manufacturing companies, providing them with the ability to test and integrate NDS technology into their products in Seoul.

The Korean STB manufacturers who have immediately started integration projects at the center include DMT, emTech, Global Tech, HDT, Humax, LGE, Samsung and Seodu Inchip. They will be able to integrate as well as test NDS VideoGuard conditional access, NDS Core middleware, Value@TV interactive and MHP and Open Cable technology with their latest set-top box models.

The laboratory will also provides support for the entire Asia Pacific region including, China, Taiwan, India, Australia and New Zealand.
