NDS Completes Acquisition of Mediahighway, Appoints Thomson Exec
NDS, a News Corp. company, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Mediahighway from Thomson. NDS purchased the business for 60 million euros in cash ($73.8 million USD) funded from its existing cash reserves.

NDS also announced the appointment of Caroline Le Bigot as NDS vice president and general manager of NDS Technologies, France, which employs over 300 people. For the past four years, Le Bigot has held senior positions at Thomson, initially as vice president of Broadband Access Products for Europe and Asia and later was vice president of Cable Business and Retail Digital Decoders Worldwide.
