Modulus Opens New MPEG-4 Facility
MPEG-4 developer Modulus Video has opened a 20,000 square foot facility in Sunnydale, Calif. that will be used as a demonstration and evaluation facility. MPEG-4 AVC, also known as H.264/MPEG-4.10, is a new and open video compression standard, replacing MPEG-2.
"We encourage the industry to join us in Sunnyvale and see first-hand how AVC solutions from Modulus Video meet the rapidly growing demand for SD and HD digital services with simple modifications to their existing infrastructure," Bob Wilson, Chairman and CEO of Modulus Video said.
The new Silicon Valley facility will support integration activities and will be used for conducting AVC technology evaluation for broadcast, postproduction, telco and satellite applications.
