Microwave Radio Communications Merges With RF Technology's U.S. Operations
Video microwave broadcast equipment suppliers Microwave Radio Communications and RF Technology, U.S. operations, will consolidate under the MRC brand name.

MRC will assume the sales, customer service and manufacturing duties for RFT products in the United States and Canada. RFT manufacturing and customer support services will be transferred to MRC's facility in Massachusetts. The international sales and support of RFT products will be transferred to U.K.-based Continental Microwave Ltd., an associate company of MRC.

MRC plans to use its new, complementary assets to enhance its product lines. The company will expand on its systems packages for digital and analog for point-to-point microwave systems. For example, RFT's helicopter POD antenna is now available with MRC's new STRATA radio. The combination provides a highly functional system for digital and analog transmission in a compact, low-weight package.
