Leitch supplies video servers to R.R. Satellite Communications

Leitch is providing its VRnet video server system to R.R. Satellite Communications, a service provider in Israel.

Leitch's VR440 shared storage server system offers overlapping reliability features with bi-directional server channels which together provide the customer with the greatest flexibility and support for their operations.

R.R. Satellite Communications is a service provider for the God Channel, which transmits five worldwide services, and for the Israeli History Channel, which transmits to the United States.

The Leitch VR440 shared storage server comprises 10 transmission channels and two ingest channels and is deployed in Reem Junction, 30 miles south of Tel-Aviv. Sold by Leitch distributor Aran Electronics, the system was delivered with 1.46 TB of storage and has two FCR-1730 Fibre Channel drive arrays using Leitch's patented shared storage system and RAID software, RAIDSoft. The system is controlled by Pebble Beach automation.
