Hearst-Argyle and Cox Communications Sign HD, Multicast Retran Agreement
Hearst-Argyle Television and Cox Communications have reached a retransmission consent agreement in which the cable operator will carry the digital and analog signals—including HDTV and multicast signals—of Hearst-Argyle TV stations in six markets.

The deal covers WESH and WKCF in Orlando; KMBC in Kansas City, Mo.; KOCO in Oklahoma City; WDSU in New Orleans; KETV in Omaha; and KHBS and KHOG in Fort Smith/Fayetteville, Ark.

WESH and WDSU are NBC affiliates; WKCF is a CW affiliate; the others are ABC affiliates.

In all, Hearst-Argyle owns 26 television stations and manages an another three owned my its corporate parent, Hearst Corp.
