Hartwell joins Doyle Technology

Doyle Technology Consultants, specializing in design and systems integration for the broadcast, multimedia and information technology industries, has added John Hartwell to its team, in a dual role of managing the company’s advanced system development and directing systems backlogs.

Hartwell, whose background includes extensive experience in systems integration engineering will also supervise the workflow and creative efforts of Doyle’s engineering design team, as well as help guide the company’s overall direction as a member of its executive team.

Prior to joining Doyle, Hartwell held several positions in Sony Electronics’ Business and Professional Group, most recently as a senior application engineer. Focusing on automation and transmission systems marketing, Hartwell provided product marketing and management support, and also identified solutions for Sony’s customer applications.

At Sony, Hartwell also held the positions of advanced technology manager for the Systems Integration Center, engineering manager for a DirecTV project, and engineering manager for the Communication Systems Division.

Hartwell has also held positions with Lude’ Broadcast Engineering as a principal, project manager and engineer; with Runco Video as an engineering supervisor and chief engineer; and with KQED as a staff engineer and technical director.
